An AI meetup group in Lawrence
KAW Meetup brings together people who use AI, or want to, to see what others are building and talk about it. It starts in November 2026.
What it is
Once a month, on the second Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, a member from the group shows what they are building with AI. Then there is time for Q&A, and time to network afterwards. It is for business folks, developers, students, moms, grandmas, or anyone else curious about using AI, and no coding experience is needed.
Joining is free. For now it is by invitation: ask for one.
Who runs it
KAW Meetup is organized by Tim Gallagher, a software developer and executive at OWNx.com.
How the evenings run

Q&A after each talk
Every talk is followed by Q&A, and every evening by time to network.
No sales pitches
Talks from companies are welcome when they teach rather than sell.
